Life has been crazy lately. One of the things I’ve learned is that the world never stops and things continue to go on, even if you don’t! I just about killed myself last week with all the things I had to do, so this week I am taking the time to enjoy myself and to enjoy my kids. We’ve had some wonderful weather so my son and I have enjoyed wandering along some trails, observing nature, just enjoying ourselves while we keep a look out for snakes (always a good idea to keep an eye out for snakes, I could tell you some very scary Texas snake stories).
Twice a month I teach a class to 8-12 year olds. Our next activity is on being thankful, so I’ve been trying to get in the thankful mindset (So as to not be a total hypocrite. You know what they say, those who can’t do, teach). Last week I was anything but thankful, I was cranky, tired, in a ton of pain, and I just wanted the world to slow down a bit (or a lot) so that I could keep up. This week things are back to a more pleasant pace and I have been able to enjoy the many things I am thankful for. You have to take these moment when they come, because unfortunately the world will not slow down for those of us lagging behind!
