I am just one- what it's like to live with invisible illness

I am just one: living with invisible illness

I am just one

I am just one person with an invisible chronic illness.

And I matter

I deserve to be believed

I deserve to be treated with respect

I am more than my symptoms

I am more than my disease.

I have dreams

I have goals

I have feelings

I am not a failure

I am just one

I have an invisible illness that causes me pain and misery, but it is not who I am.

I am who I am

My life matters

I am important

I may not be physically strong

I may have a broken body

But I am worthy

I am strong

I am just one

I am one person whose life has been affected by illness

I am one person with a blog

I am one person with a cause

I am one person trying to share her story

I am one person trying to make a difference

My illness is invisible

My illness doesn’t define me

My illness doesn’t define who I am

I am here and I am not invisible

Do you see me?
