“Don’t let the Turkeys get you down.”

I think that is my theme for this week. Apparently it is a saying from a greeting card, and if you google it, you will see some hilarious images.
Needless to say, I’ve been dealing with some “turkeys” this week. But I am attempting to take a deep breath and not let them get to me. Plus it is hard to stay annoyed when you have a Pumpkin Cheesecake from Our best bites in the oven. The house smells delicious!
And thank goodness that is the most cooking I’ll be doing this Thanksgiving. Attempting to cook when your two kids are awake is a fools errand. My sweet baby boy is afraid of the mixer, so when he even sees me start to pull out the mixing bowl he grabs on to my leg and starts whining. Then when I turn on the mixer he starts screaming outright. So with one hand I’m holding onto him and with the other hand I’m holding the mixer and attempting to stir. If you are thinking you can’t stir and hold a mixer with one hand, you are correct. The result was a giant mess. However, the cheesecake appears to have survived the process and will be ready for consumption tomorrow!
