We’re heading into the holiday season, and with a million things on our minds it can be hard when someone asks what we want for Christmas. I know I generally have a wish list a million miles long, but when someone asks my mind goes completely blank. So for the second year in a row I’ve come up with a list of my favorite chronic illness products at every price range. There should be something for everyone!

Stocking Stuffers

1. Slippers

There’s nothing more comfortable than soft pair of slippers to wear around the house. They keep your feet warm, and help to keep them from hurting when walking on hard floors. I actually wear slippers year round for this reason, and am always in need of another nice pair.

2. Activity Books

When you have a chronic illness you have to spend more time resting than you would generally like, and that can get boring. Adult coloring books, crossword puzzles, and Suduku  are perfect for making the time go quicker.

3. Sleep mask

These sleep masks are one of my favorite things. I’m sensitive to light and my house has lots of windows, so I use a sleep mask to block out the early morning sunlight. I also use it when I have a sinus headache, and it’s a huge help. It actually contours to your face and doesn’t dig into your skin like other masks.

4. Fuzzy Socks

There’s nothing better than a warm pair of socks to help get through the winter.

5. Bath Salts

I’ve shared many times how much I love a hot bath to ease painful muscles, and a bath is even better with some pleasant smelling bath salts.

6. Deep Tissue Massager

I bought this massager as a gift to myself, and I couldn’t be more happy with it. Real massage is too painful for me, so this is a great alternative. I use it on my legs every night to help ease the aching a bit. The one downside is that thought it’s not very heavy, holding it can get pretty tiring after 10 or so minutes. Ideally, someone else would be assisting you!

7. Comfortable set of pajamas

When you have a chronic illness you spend a lot of time at home, and you want to be in something comfortable. There’s nothing better than soft and comfortable set of pajamas.

8. Aromatherapy wrap

These microwavable aromatherapy heating pads are amazing. They really help to temporarily relieve pain and stress.

9. ChronicAlly Gift Box

There’s nothing better than a gift subscription. I reviewed ChronicAlly a few years ago, and loved it. I haven’t had the funds since then to try it again, but I still think it would be a great gift. For one month it’s $43.95, and for 3 months it’s $125. 26, which makes it a pretty versatile gift.

10. Electric toothbrush

Having an electric toothbrush seems like it has nothing to do with chronic illness, but when your hands and muscles hurt it can be a lifesaver.

Splurge

11. Memory foam pillow- $69.99

Before I tried it, I would have said spending this kind of money on a pillow was insane, but I’ve had mine for 2 years and it’s just as comfortable as the day I bought it. I even take it into hotels with me because it’s so much better than what they have.

12. Weighted blanket- $85.90

I haven’t actually ever tried a weighted blanket, but it’s long been on my wish list because it’s been recommended for pain by several different people.

13. Light sensitivity glasses- $119

I was given light sensitivity glasses a few years ago, and I’ve worn them everywhere ever since. I wear mine outside in the place of sunglasses (though I wear them even if it’s cloudy). I also wear them inside when the lights get too bright. They’re amazing for anyone who has sensitive eyes.

14. Gift card for house cleaning services

I’ve only paid to have my house cleaned twice in my life, once when we put our house on the market, and once when we moved into a new house that was nasty. Both times saved me days of agonizing pain and were absolutely worth the expense. Though having your house cleaning every week is unrealistic for most people with chronic illness, even having someone come once a do a deep cleaning is wonderful.

15. Roomba- $297.49

I know I put this on my list every year, but it really is that amazing. I will always include it my top favorite things for managing a household and keeping up a cleaning schedule. The first floor of my house is all tile, and there is no way I could keep up with the mess if I didn’t have a Roomba. I send it around every single day, and even then my kids still manage to drag in more dirt and wood chips to make my floors look messy.
